Tristan Finazzo is a writer, historian, and technical communicator supporting NASA's sustainable aeronautics and Earth Science missions. He is also an active dark sky advocate, where he works with communities and professionals around the world to advocate for dark sky conservation and responsible lighting practices. Tristan holds master's degrees in Global Journalism and East Asian Studies from NYU.

Professionally, he has tested air filters in Beijing alleys, interviewed North Korean defectors in Seoul, and published research on Arctic development, commercial satellites, and geopolitics in Asia.

Recreationally, he has sung and danced on Chinese national television, climbed a volcano on the North Korean border, and garnered momentary fame with select Youtube remixes, found here.

 

Now, he is focused on unearthing stories that transcend languages and inspire the leaders of a sustainable future. He spends his free time reading, hiking, writing, and pretending to be knowledgeable about astrophysics.
